The nurse (LPN/RN/RPN) role offers impactful opportunities in AVI's various health programs aimed at serving clients living with substance use challenges and chronic conditions. You will utilize a multifaceted approach, employing both trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices to foster health equity and improve client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct client assessments and provide tailored education
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Manage care for individuals facing substance use issues
• Address acute and chronic health concerns
• Facilitate harm reduction education and strategies
Requirements:
• Current membership with BC College of Nursing professionals
• 2-3 years working with high-risk populations
• Experience in harm reduction and trauma-informed practice
• Understanding of systemic barriers affecting health
• Strong networking, advocacy, and communication skills
