At Vancouver Island Health Authority, the Clinical Nurse Leader is responsible for managing unit operations and leading a multidisciplinary team. You will coordinate clinical activities to ensure optimal use of resources while mentoring nursing staff for their professional development. In addition, you will lead initiatives related to quality improvement and risk management within your unit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily operations of assigned unit/service area
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff and teams
• Coordinate clinical activities and resource use
• Facilitate effective communication across teams
• Lead quality and risk management efforts
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• 3-5 years relevant experience required
• 2 years in a clinical role preferred
• Registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal abilities
