This role, requiring a commitment to patient safety and care excellence, runs part-time with a rotating schedule at Vancouver Island Health Authority. Candidates should have a practice license with the BC College of Nurses and two years of recent critical care nursing experience. A strong capability in arrhythmia interpretation is necessary, along with advanced cardiac life support training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer direct nursing care for critical cardiac patients
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure accurate patient assessment and care planning
• Communicate effectively with diverse health contacts
• Prioritize workload while maintaining safety standards
Requirements:
• Registration as a practicing RN with the BC College of Nurses
• Minimum two years critical care nursing experience required
• Must pass the VIHA ECG Challenge exam
• Physical aptitude for nursing duties
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is an asset
