As a Clinical Nurse Mentor, you will be a pivotal resource within the Professional Practice & Learning team, sharing your expertise with nurses and supporting their development. The position demands a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with significant mentoring experience and leadership training. This role includes providing rapid elbow-to-elbow clinical mentorship in designated clinical practice areas, promoting safety and quality in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical mentorship and practice support to nursing staff
• Collaborate with nurse educators for staff training
• Offer consultation and leadership direction
• Teach and facilitate learning in clinical settings
• Assist in skill development and support clinical initiatives
Requirements:
• Current BC nursing registration as RN/RPN
• Minimum of three years relevant nursing experience
• Leadership training or equivalent combination of education
• Valid BC Driver's License may be required
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
