Join Island Health's Intensive Case Management Team as a Nurse, specializing in mental health and substance use across multiple sites. Engage with clients, providing comprehensive support in community settings.
This role requires a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with at least two years of relevant experience in mental health and substance use nursing. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll develop, implement, and maintain essential rehabilitation services tailored to client needs. Your expertise will directly enhance the quality of care and support for clients, families, and community health resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat clients with mental health and substance use concerns
• Develop and implement rehabilitation plans in community environments
• Provide education on psychotropic medications and monitor side effects
• Collaborate effectively with team members and community resources
• Manage aggressive behaviors using crisis intervention techniques
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized nursing program
• Minimum two years of MHSU nursing experience
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives required
• Current CPR certification is essential
• Adaptability to changing program demands
