Casual Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurses with elderly care skills can support long-term care residents casually at Age Care Malaspina in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
Pro Vita seeks multiple Licensed Practical Nurses for its Long Term Care team. The work includes resident monitoring, personal care, infection control, and nursing documentation. Candidates assess physical and psychological conditions, identify changes from baseline, and respond appropriately through physician consultation or Mental Health Team referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

Observe, monitor, document, and update resident information
Provide personal care to residents as required
Support emergency staff scheduling when required
Maintain infection control practices and provide education
Assess resident strengths, limitations, and health status
Requirements:
Active LPN registration with BCCNM
Recognized Practical Nurses program graduation or equivalent
Valid First Aid and CPR A certificate
Occupational First Aid Level 1 status
Effective verbal and written English communication
