Become an integral part of WSP's mission with the Archaeologist role in Nanaimo. You will manage archaeological assessments and collaborate with Indigenous Nations across British Columbia.
As an Intermediate Archaeologist at WSP, you will lead archaeological assessments, engage with Indigenous communities, and ensure compliance with heritage legislation. This role emphasizes collaboration, field investigations, and preparing detailed reports on the cultural resources we protect, contributing to impactful projects that benefit local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct archaeological assessments and excavation programs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
• Ensure compliance with heritage legislation and requirements
• Engage with Indigenous Nations, clients, and stakeholders
• Prepare technical reports and archaeological documentation
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Archaeology or related field
• Intermediate-level archaeological consulting experience
• Knowledge of the British Columbia Heritage Conservation Act
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and travel readiness
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental stewardship
