Become a Sexual Misconduct Support Worker in beautiful Nanaimo and Oceanside. This part-time position empowers you to provide crucial support to victims and facilitate awareness.
This role involves working closely with victims over 16, offering both emotional support and practical assistance. Alongside the Mental Health and Social Services Team, you'll provide educational workshops to promote sexual misconduct awareness and prevention in the community, making a tangible impact on people's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emotional and practical support to each victim
• Conduct both in-office and outreach services
• Assist individuals during medical and legal procedures
• Lead community education sessions
• Connect survivors with essential resources
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Services or related field mandatory
• Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines
• Two years of related victim services experience preferred
• Must obtain a clear Criminal Record Check
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
