Position: Nanaimo Community Housing Support Role
Become a vital Community Housing Support Worker in Nanaimo, aiding adults in daily life activities and personal care. This part-time hourly position also involves teamwork and relationship-building with individuals and families.

This role spans 28 hours a week from Wednesday to Saturday, focusing on promoting independence and stability. You’ll employ positive behavioral techniques and work alongside community partners to ensure holistic support. This multifaceted position allows for forming strong, respectful relationships while ensuring health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support adults in personal and daily activities

• Foster independence through skill development

• Apply positive behavioral and crisis intervention strategies

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Services or equivalent

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License is necessary

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with diverse needs is preferred

• First Aid with CPR certification required
