Community Support Worker

Become a key member of Bonaventure Support Services as a Community Housing Support Worker in Nanaimo. Support youth with diverse abilities by providing essential care and promoting connection and growth.

This full-time role requires a compassionate individual to assist youth in daily living activities and foster their independence. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, you’ll employ crisis intervention strategies and collaborate with families and community partners for holistic support. Your goal is to build meaningful relationships while ensuring clients’ well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist youth with daily health and nutrition activities

• Develop life-saving skills for personal growth

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques effectively

• Engage with community partners for comprehensive care

• Uphold health, safety, and well-being in all activities

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Community Support or equivalent

• Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with diverse abilities is an asset

• BC Class 5 Driver's License and own vehicle

• Compliance with mandatory screenings and certifications
