Reporting directly to the Homelessness Services Coordinator, you will engage with individuals facing challenges related to mental health and substance use. Collaborating with community partners, you will help these individuals connect to housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
Your role will involve building rapport, assessing client needs, and utilizing a trauma-informed approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trust and engage with clients experiencing difficulties
• Assist clients in identifying their needs and resources
• Connect individuals with community health and housing services
• Manage client feedback and respond to inquiries
• Maintain documentation and records of client interactions
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service or related field
• Minimum two years of relevant work experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Certificate(s) in First Aid and Naloxone training
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Utilize your expertise in community services to empower those in need at VIMHS.
