Culturally Inclusive Support Worker

In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in connecting people to their community. Your work will involve sharing Indigenous traditions and working to foster a sense of belonging among individuals supported by Bonaventure Support Services. Collaborating with families and community partners, you will promote cultural awareness and inclusion through engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate access to community opportunities for individuals

• Collaborate with the Inclusion Team and community partners

• Support family involvement in individuals’ lives

• Share Indigenous heritage and traditions diplomatically

• Organize culturally relevant activities for diverse abilities

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and lived experience preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Capability to implement person-centred support plans

• Commitment to dignity and respect in service

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and personal transportation
