Intake Specialist

Position: Full-Time Intake Specialist
Join Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society as a Full-Time Intake Specialist in Nanaimo, B.C. Engage with newcomer clients to assess needs and connect them seamlessly to essential services.

This term contract role supports the Employment and Settlement program until March 31, 2027. As an Intake Specialist, your key responsibilities include conducting client assessments, maintaining client records, and facilitating comprehensive referrals. You'll exhibit strong interpersonal skills while managing client intake both in-person and online, ensuring a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine client eligibility for programs

• Provide information services via phone, email, and in person

• Assist in arranging transportation and support services

• Maintain confidential client records and adherence to policies

• Participate in team meetings and share client success stories

Requirements:

• Certificate in Social Work or related field required

• 1+ years of experience in client intake or settlement services

• Ability to work independently with a high level of professionalism

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation needed

• First Aid Level 1 certification required
