Make a meaningful impact as a Case Manager with Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society in Nanaimo, B.C. This full-time term contract focuses on supporting newcomers through effective case management services.
The Case Manager role is essential in facilitating the integration of immigrants and refugees by providing personalized and holistic support. You will perform detailed assessments, develop individualized settlement plans, and coordinate services to address both urgent and long-term needs. Your advocacy will empower clients to overcome barriers and achieve sustainable self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct trauma-informed client intake interviews
• Develop customized settlement plans and monitor progress
• Coordinate services among internal and external partners
• Advocate for clients to address systemic barriers
• Facilitate individual skills development through coaching
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with vulnerable populations required
• Proficiency in client databases and Microsoft Office
• Vulnerable sector criminal record check mandatory
