As part of a vibrant community, you will provide essential support to children in staffed homes. This position requires a minimum of two years in social services with a focus on mental health and trauma-informed care. Your ability to advocate for the youth’s rights and choices will drive their integration into the community while maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for children's rights and choices
• Build relationships with youths and families
• Document progress in Personal Service Plans
• Assist with daily living activities and medication
• Maintain a clean and supportive home environment
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education and Child Youth Care Diploma
• Minimum 2 years experience in social services
• Knowledge of behaviour management and trauma-informed care
• Current First Aid/CPR and Food Safe certifications
• Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal record clearance
