We're actively seeking reliable, full-time, permanent Driver based in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

• Competently performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections with the intent of identifying and communicating minor and major defects to the Transportation Supervisor, and also completes daily driver log book using HOS application on mobile device.
• Loads and unloads truck by placing and securing items in such a manner that prevents damage to the products and truck, regular lifting will be required
• Local and occasional out of town routes, may require some overnights as well.
• Ensuring all materials are properly packaged, and orders are fully complete and in accordance with the packing slip prior to trip departure.
• Delivers and collects products/waste containers in accordance with scheduled route and serves customers by understanding, resolving and/or forwarding customer questions.
• Diligently completes Daniels' commercial vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocol on a daily basis.
• Accurately records information on packing slip and manifest, ensuring compliance with TDG Regulations.
• Complies with all environmental & health and safety policies and procedures.

• Class 5 license with air brakes
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required
• Occasionally lifting, pushing pulling weights of sixty pounds or more
• Minimum of 12 months verifiable, related behind the wheel driving experience (within last 36 months)
• Clean Driver’s Abstract (dated within last 30 days)
• Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, such as background check, pre-employment medical test and a driver's road test or equivalent
• Ability and knowledge to safely load and properly block, brace, and secure materials
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
• Ability to drive the vehicle safely in accordance with all traffic regulations
• Ability to complete compliance paperwork and all shipping documents/bill of ladings
