Position: Casual Transport Driver for VIHA
Drive and transport essential materials with Vancouver Island Health Authority as a Casual Transport Driver. This role includes regular travel and the operation of various vehicles for transporting diverse items.

The position reports to the Transport Supervisor and requires responsibility for loading and unloading a van, light truck, or trailer. You will manage the pickup and delivery of garbage, medical supplies, recyclable materials, and more according to set schedules and dispatch instructions. Strong communication and organizational skills are key for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate transport vehicles for various deliveries

• Load and unload goods efficiently and safely

• Follow defined schedules and dispatch instructions

• Manage transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous items

• Ensure timely delivery to multiple healthcare sites

Requirements:

• Grade 10 education or equivalent experience

• Valid Class 5 vehicle license

• Ability to operate related equipment

• Effective communication and organizational skills

• Physical capability to perform job duties
