Healthcare Transport Driver at VIHA

Support healthcare logistics with Vancouver Island Health Authority as a Healthcare Transport Driver. This casual role involves transporting essential materials across multiple sites with a focus on safety and efficiency.

As a key member of the transport team, you will report to the Transport Supervisor. Your responsibilities include operating vehicles for the pickup and delivery of garbage, linen, office supplies, and other materials. Effective communication and organizational skills will aid in maintaining delivery schedules and ensuring compliance with safety protocols while handling various items.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive vehicles for healthcare material transport

• Load/unload items efficiently and safely

• Follow defined delivery schedules and instructions

• Handle both bio-hazardous and non-hazardous materials

• Coordinate transportation with multiple facilities

Requirements:

• At least a Grade 10 education or equivalent experience

• Must possess a valid Class 5 vehicle license

• Proficiency in operating transport vehicles

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Physical readiness to perform job tasks
