Position: School Bus Driver Casual Roles Available
Join Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools as a School Bus Driver. This casual role offers the chance to positively impact children as you safely transport them to and from school.

In this position, you will operate a school bus within the district, following all regulations and policies. The job requires previous experience driving buses and involves both casual work with potential for regular assignments. Flexibility for short-notice callouts and split shifts is important to meet daily needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students per established regulations

• Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle readiness

• Ensure student discipline while on the bus

• Support loading/unloading processes securely

• Manage minor mechanical issues on the road

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 11 education or equivalent

• B.C. class 1 or 2 driver's license required

• Previous experience driving buses preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

• Must be physically capable of performing job tasks

Deliver safe, reliable transportation and build lasting connections with students in their daily commutes.
