UPS is currently looking for Part‑time Local Sorters to work from our Nanaimo Package Facility.
Position Title:
Local Sorters
Position Type: Permanent Part‑time
Work Hours:
4:00PM – 8:00PM
* Workdays: Monday to Friday
* Location:
Madsen Rd., Nanaimo, BC
Shift schedules may vary based on operational requirements.
Responsibilities
Lifting, lowering, and moving of packages weighing between 10 to 70lbs.
Scanning and sorting packages based on postal codes, addresses, and package dimensions.
Understanding and recognizing postal codes, routing charts, and maps.
Standing closely with conveyor, roller belts, and other equipment in the warehouse.
Washing package cars to ensure cleanliness.
Qualifications
Available to work Monday to Friday.
Ability to follow sets of safety and standard procedures.
Good organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced and physically demanding work environment.
Able to regularly and safely lift packages between 10‑lbs up to 70‑lbs unassisted.
Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Warehouse experience is considered an asset but not required.
