ABC Recycling Ltd. is hiring a General Labourer in Nanaimo, B.C. This position focuses on analyzing and packaging non-ferrous metals while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

As part of the union, you will play a vital role in receiving and sorting metals. Your main responsibilities include cutting metals into marketable pieces and maintaining cleanliness in the yard. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in unloading metals received from customers

• Weigh and assess various non-ferrous metal types

• Sort and maximize mix loads for efficient storage

• Cut larger pieces of metal into smaller sizes

• Foster professional communication with customers

Requirements:

• Understanding of safety protocols in the workplace

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather

• Effective communication skills

• Experience operating forklifts or skid steers is a plus

• Previous experience in a scrap yard is an asset
