We are seeking an experienced and qualified Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO) to lead a whole‑school inclusion strategy. The SENDCO will ensure pupils with additional learning needs, including special educational needs, gifted and talented, bilingual/multilingual learning needs, and social, emotional or behavioral challenges, receive high‑quality, personalised support. The SENDCO will show commitment to culturally responsive teaching and adapt methods to support pupils from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

The SENDCO will report directly to the Second Master and will be a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT). The role will have direct line management responsibility for Learning Support Teachers, School Counsellor, Teaching Assistants assigned to pupils with additional needs, and any specialist staff engaged for SEND provision.

Essential Qualifications &

Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
Recognised SENDCO qualification.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within SEND provision.
Proven experience in developing and implementing IEPs, managing Exam Access Arrangements, and working with bilingual/multilingual learners.
Familiarity with JCQ regulations and international school examination requirements.

Desirable:
International/bilingual school experience, bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin, training in safeguarding (Level
3), mental health first aid, and/or autism spectrum specialist training.
