ACKventure Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director

This is a seasonal, part-time position, up to five hours per week. Camp weeks run from June 22 through August 14. The hourly rate is $20–$27 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Extension Counselors will supervise campers from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. (morning extension) or 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. (afternoon extension). Campers range in age from 3.5 to 10 years old. Camp programming will take place at Nantucket Intermediate School. Please indicate your morning or afternoon coverage preference.

• Must be 16 years of age or older for assistant positions, and 18 years or older for lead positions.
• Experience in related fields (sports, coaching, childcare, camp counselor) is preferred.
• Strong swimming skills are preferred, but not required.
• Ability to converse with caregivers pleasantly and effectively.
• Previous working or volunteer experience with children.
• Certification in CPR/first aid or willing to be certified. Certification is required by June 30, 2026.
