REPORTS TO: ESOL Coordinator
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part‑time position, up to four hours per week. Classes run from January to March, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The hourly rate is $25 per hour.
JOB SUMMARY: The ESOL Teacher Assistant provides classroom support by preparing materials, interacting with students, and supervising projects. Assistance with lesson‑plan preparation and instruction for adult English learners at all levels is required. The assistant delivers three hours of instruction and one hour of weekly preparation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to converse with members of the public pleasantly and effectively.
