REPORTS TO: Aquatics Coordinator

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a part-time position (up to 19 hours per week). The starting hourly range is $22 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience. Additional sessions or hours may be available upon request.

JOB SUMMARY: Swim instructors are tasked with teaching children elementary swimming skills. Instructors will lead classes with up to five students in 30-minute increments for varying levels and abilities. Additionally, instructors will be expected to communicate the learn to swim curriculum with our students and caregivers. Instructors will provide up to two hours of in-water instruction each day, as well as write weekly progress reports to families.

Qualifications

• Must be 14 years of age or older.
• Background in swimming or swimming education, or a willingness to be trained.
• Previous working or volunteer experience with children.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs
• Lifeguard and CPR certified preferred
