Registered Nurse - Dialysis

The Dialysis Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. This role includes monitoring patient health, administering treatments, and educating patients and their families about dialysis options and kidney disease management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Check and record patients’ vital signs before, during, and after dialysis treatments.
• Ensure that hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments are administered correctly.
• Monitor patients during treatment to identify any adverse reactions and respond promptly.
• Prepare and update individualized nursing care plans.
• Notify the appropriate medical practitioner of any issues that arise during dialysis treatments.
• Collaborate with dialysis technicians to ensure that dialysis machines and equipment are set up properly.
• Educate patients and their family members on operating home dialysis machines if home therapy is chosen.
• Provide information on dialysis treatment options, kidney disease management, and suitable nutrition and exercise regimens.

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Proven experience as a dialysis nurse.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

• Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is advantageous.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and observational skills.
• Ability to operate dialysis machines effectively.
