Shift - Tuesday-Friday, 10a-830p, on call Wednesday, 830p-7a. Weekends are on call only.
Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise in medical imaging will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology, and a commitment to delivering accurate diagnostic results.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring high-quality imaging results.
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss patient history and examination findings.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients during procedures.
- Accurately document patient information, imaging results, and any relevant observations.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment according to established guidelines.
- At least 1 year of Ultrasound Tech experience required.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certified by ARDMS.
- Current BLS certification
- Strong understanding of medical imaging principles and diagnostic radiology.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to sonography.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining professionalism at all times.
