The Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in staffing, developing facility policies, and directing the overall operations in the nursing department, in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations requirements, and policies. This includes, but is not limited to, effective management of resources to meet resident care needs and to maintain quality levels of care. The Assistant Director of Nursing maintains 24-hour accountability for nursing care delivered by personnel assigned to the department.

• Must be a Registered Nurse, currently licensed in Massachusetts with at least five (5) years of nursing experience; at least one of which has been in a supervisory/mentoring capacity.
• Massachusetts RN License, CPR Certification, and must pass all required background checks.
• CDC Infection Control Preventionist Certificate is preferred.
• Familiarity with MDS nursing documentation requirements.

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Union position
• Starting hourly rate $69.53 (new hires) - $88.06 (employees hired prior to July 1, 2012 with 20 years of service with the Town of Nantucket)
