Heler Foods is seeking a Project Accountant to support the accounting phase of its ERP transformation from legacy systems to Microsoft Business Central. This short‑term project will run 3–6 months and requires an experienced accountant who can work independently across both legacy and new ERP environments.

• Assist in setting up workflows, approval chains, and security roles in line with internal controls.
• Make required edits to standing data or processing rules during the initial data upload, working with Business Central consultants.
• Perform reconciliations between old and new systems during migration.
• Ensure opening balances and historical data are accurate and complete.
• Assist with system testing and issue resolution.
• Maintain month‑end processes throughout implementation.
• Support journals, accruals, and reconciliations across both systems.
• Process sales and purchase ledger transactions, and resolve related queries.
• Chase up and resolve invoice authorisation queries to enable timely payments.
• Post cash receipts against remittances and review bank reconciliations.
• Contribute to the building of initial financial reports and dashboards in D365.
• Engage with finance teams, IT, and implementation consultants to ensure project success.

• Accuracy and timeliness of postings.
• Meet deadlines for monthly accounts completion by the 20th of the month following.
• Data accuracy throughout the migration.

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics.

• 3–4 years post‑qualified, capable of working independently across the accounting remit.
• Strong foundation in UK GAAP/IFRS, month‑end processes, and reconciliations.
• Desirable ERP accounting or system implementation experience, especially with Business Central or Microsoft ERP.
• Desirable experience in data migration, configuration, and UAT.
• Desirable experience in food, manufacturing, or FMCG sectors.

• Advanced Excel.
• Problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Strong reconciliation and data analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate technical ERP concepts to finance and business stakeholders.
