Initial Teacher Education (ITE) Lead

Location: Reaseheath College, Rease Heath, Nantwich CW5 6DF

Salary: £36,378 – £41,745 per annum

Status: Permanent, 37 hours per week

About

the role

In this role, you will bring passion for teaching and learning, a high level of motivation and enthusiasm, and a readiness to embrace new challenges. You'll play a key part in shaping and leading aspects of Initial Teacher Education (ITE) and introductory programmes, supporting the development of future educators across the college.

As an ITE Lead, you will take responsibility for developing and delivering key elements of our teacher development offer, including assessor and IQA qualifications, Bridge to Teach, and introductory teaching programmes. You will provide high-quality mentoring, guidance, and developmental observations to support trainee teachers and new staff, helping them grow into confident and effective practitioners.

You don't need previous experience delivering ITE-we'll provide full support and development. What matters most is your enthusiasm, your expertise as a strong teacher, and your desire to contribute to college-wide development.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and delivery of Bridge to Teach and Trade to Teach programmes.
  • Develop and manage Assessor, IQA, and Lead IQA qualifications.
  • Design and oversee a cross-college mentoring programme.
  • Provide mentoring, observations, and feedback to trainee teachers.
  • Collaborate on CPD events and enhance ITE provision across the college.
The successful candidate will
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience of managing or coordinating courses.
  • A track record of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
  • A positive, proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Assessor and IQA qualification are desirable.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues is desirable.
  • Experience supporting early-career or trainee teachers is desirable.

Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.
