OverviewReaseheath college works with over twenty different Local Authorities in any given academic year. Although each Local Authority sets out its legal guidance on an individual basis, the process of receiving, consulting, and replying to the Local Authority regarding an EHCP is the same. The purpose of the Learning Skills Centre (LSC) is to ensure that all students on an EHCP have the correct provisions and support to enable them to successfully engage in the curriculum.
Working cross functionally with external stakeholders, curriculum areas and the quality department, the LSC is fundamental in implementing, delivering and reviewing the process in place to effectively meet the needs of learners.
As an Inclusive Learning Advisor specialising in EHCP / HNS, you will work collaboratively with the EHCP / SEND Team Leader to effectively manage a caseload of EHCP / High Needs students to transition, engage and achieve would consider candidates from backgrounds in Education, Care, Health and Youth Services who have worked with multi‑agencies.
Key responsibilities- Provide direct support for a caseload of EHCP/High Needs students.
- Complete pre‑entry initial assessment of learner needs and regular reviews.
- Complete EHCP consultations and agree appropriate Inclusion Support Plan.
- Produce and support the implementation of Inclusive Passports to ensure that students can fully access the curriculum and college environment.
- Chair team meetings for the EHCP/SEND team and contribute to wider LSC.
- Minimum Level 2 Maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above) or equivalent.
- Experience of working with multi‑agencies.
- Experience and knowledge of the EHCP process would be desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of SEND would be desirable.
