Reaseheath College is one of the premier land-based College located in South Cheshire with an enviable reputation for quality and partnerships with industry. The College has a beautiful rural setting situated amongst 330 hectares of farms, parklands, lake, woodland and sports facilities.
About the roleWe are looking for a motivated, active, individual to ensure the Reaseheath Campus operations are supported by a competent and efficient Caretaker. The role includes the physical movement, setting up and removing of furniture and associated equipment for events. Supporting the domestic teams and maintenance teams along with assisting waste management, litter picking and cleaning. All based around ensuring the campus and buildings functional, clean and presented to the highest standards at all times.
Key responsibilities:- To move, install, remove and assemble furniture and equipment in offices, accommodation, public spaces and outdoors to set up and take down for events, functions and relocations
- To set up function rooms including laying and removing temporary carpets and drapery systems. Setting up chairs, tables, staging and support systems for events and exams. Operating moveable seating systems and retractable walls
- Unloading and storing materials and equipment deliveries
- collecting and emptying bins around the site, litter picking, chewing gum removal, etc.
- To assist with the domestic's team in collecting and moving materials and supplies around the college
- To assist with maintenance teams in clearing and clearing rooms being renovated and moving materials for maintenance projects.
- To carry out minor maintenance roles such as, changing light fittings, replacing electrical white goods, installing replacement fixtures and fittings, repairing fences and the like.
- To assist with external maintenance issues such as cleaning gutters and drainpipes and brushing, jet washing and sweeping up.
- Be able to work on their own around the campus in all weather conditions.
- Have a good awareness and understanding of health and safety legislation and adhere to safe operating procedures
- Desire to undertake continued training in the use of maintenance equipment.
- Ability to manage and work within a team, flexibly and with a can do attitude
- Communicate with individuals on all levels including students, colleagues and visitors
- Full UK drivers licence
