The Academy of Land and Environment is a vibrant and industry-focused department delivering high-quality education and training in forestry, arboriculture, countryside management, and related disciplines.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Academy of Land and Environment as a Lecturer specialising in Forestry and Arboriculture. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and practical training to a diverse range of learners, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the land-based industries. The role also includes course management responsibilities, providing pastoral support, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities:

Deliver outstanding teaching and practical instruction across forestry and arboriculture subjects.
Assess learner competence using a variety of methods in line with awarding body requirements.
Undertake course management duties including tutorials, pastoral care, and safeguarding.
Engage with employers and stakeholders to enhance student recruitment and employment outcomes.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Forestry and Arboriculture or a related subject.
Possess relevant industry experience and CS qualifications (CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39).
Have or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
Demonstrate strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
Be committed to continuous professional development and inspiring learners.
