Overview:
Reaseheath College i s a forward-thinking and dynamic college providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students each year. Our Apprenticeship team plays a vital role in supporting apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for successful careers within the construction industry.
About the role:
The Carpentry and Joinery provision works closely with employers to deliver high-quality apprenticeship training, ensuring apprentices gain both practical experience and industry-recognised qualifications while meeting employer and sector needs.
- Deliver Carpentry and Joinery training in line with the Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship Standard and approved college procedures.
- Lead and support apprentices through a range of practical activities that enhance learning and develop vocational competence.
- Deliver high-quality training, coaching, mentoring, and assessment both within college and through workplace visits to support apprentice progress and evidence gathering.
- Conduct apprentice recruitment activities, inductions, initial assessments, Apprentice Skills Scans, and calculations of prior learning.
- Monitor and review apprentice progress through regular formal reviews, action planning, and use of electronic portfolio systems to track achievement and 20% off-the-job training requirements.
- Work collaboratively with employers to maximise apprenticeship development opportunities and support apprentice achievement.
- Embed Functional Skills, British Values, Prevent Duty, safeguarding, and health and safety within programme delivery.
- Maintain accurate learner records and ensure all documentation meets DfE, Ofsted, EPAO, and internal compliance requirements.
- Participate in standardisation, internal quality assurance activities, team meetings, self-assessment, and continuous professional development.
- Support college promotional activities including open days, employer engagement events, and marketing activities where required.
- Hold a relevant vocational qualification in Carpentry and Joinery or Construction.
