Land-Based Specialist Lecturer

Status:
Permanent, 37 hours per week

About the Role

This is a focused position dedicated to teaching, learning and development which would be ideal for someone who is passionate about education and has a genuine interest in the development of young people.

The college will support you to deliver high-quality training that combines theory with practical. You will play a key role in supporting students as they develop the skills and knowledge by bringing your experience of working with industry to ensure your learners gain real-world experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and development focused on student engagement and progression.
  • Combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands‑on training to support real-world learning.
  • Support and motivate young people as they develop subject-specific skills and industry knowledge.
  • Draw on current or previous industry experience to enrich learning and provide meaningful, real-world context.
  • Contribute to a supportive learning environment that promotes professional skills, confidence and employability.
The Successful Candidate Will
  • Bring enthusiasm for a career change and demonstrate a strong commitment to sharing knowledge and experience with the next generation.
  • Show a genuine interest in and appreciation of one or more relevant sectors, supported by industry or academic experience.
  • Be willing to undertake teacher training and engage in ongoing professional development within education.
