Overview

Reaseheath College is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking quality leader to join its College Management Team and lead the next phase of quality improvement across its Further Education provision. This is a significant senior leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about excellent teaching, learning and assessment and who can translate evidence, insight and ambition into sustained improvements for learners and employers.

As Director of Quality, you will provide strategic leadership for quality assurance, continuous improvement, learner progress and performance. You will work closely with senior leaders, curriculum teams and support functions to strengthen professional practice, secure consistently high standards and embed a culture in which evidence-informed reflection and improvement are part of everyday activity. You will lead the Quality Assurance Team and provide line management to the Head of Teaching, Learning and Innovation, ensuring that quality assurance and professional development work together to deliver meaningful and measurable improvement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the College's quality improvement strategy, driving outstanding standards in teaching, learning, assessment and learner outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective quality assurance processes that support continuous improvement across Further Education provision.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and management to the Quality Assurance Team and the Head of Teaching, Learning and Innovation.
  • Oversee the College's quality cycle, including self-assessment, performance reviews, observation activity and quality improvement planning.
  • Analyse and present performance data to identify trends, drive improvement actions and support informed decision-making across the College.
  • Lead the production of key quality and performance reports, including the College Self-Assessment Report (SAR), for senior leaders and governors.
  • Act as a senior leader within the College Management Team, championing excellence, managing quality-related risks and helping to shape the future direction of the College.
