Crystal Care Solutions - Hawksdale
A Support Worker at Crystal Care Solutions works in our Care Leaving / Supported Accommodation homes on a 2 on 4 off shift system with sleep‑ins, plus additional periodic shifts for holidays, training, etc., to equal an average 40‑hour contract.
We provide high‑quality residential care and supported accommodation for children and young people aged 8 to 25, specialising in those with complex needs, trauma backgrounds, and emotional or behavioural challenges. Our homes are committed to fostering stability, growth, and hope for the future.
Responsibilities- Building positive, supportive relationships with young people
- Acting as a key worker and helping young people reach their goals
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, education, and independence
- Supporting young people in daily routines, activities, and personal development
- Contributing to care plans, reviews, and documentation
- Upholding safeguarding responsibilities and reporting concerns
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety within the home
- Supporting young people to access community, employment, and training opportunities
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and professionals
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Resilience, adaptability, and calmness in challenging situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and sleep‑ins
- Full UK Driving Licence
- A strong role model who demonstrates honesty and integrity
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Ability to work under pressure, manage time and tasks effectively
- Ability to lone work, and be part of a wider team
- Inclusive, rights‑based approach to care
- Previous experience working with children or vulnerable people
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
- Understanding of child development and trauma‑informed practice
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
- Awareness of care regulations and legal frameworks
