Junior Accountant

Compensation

$30.00/hr - $35.00/hr.

Mon‑Fri 8 am‑5 pm, hardly any overtime is needed.

• Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable (85%):
  • Enters and validates invoices, processes expense reports, performs weekly check runs, and manages the AR/AP inbox.
  • Prepares export documents, assists with 1099s, maintains records, runs aging reports, and sets up new customers.
  • Provides backup for invoicing, collections, credit card/UPS/Fed Ex postings, mail handling, email routing, and vendor/customer follow‑ups.
• General Ledger (10%):
  • Posts COGS, prepares accruals, and supports month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close and audits.
• Accounting/Finance Department Support (5%):
  • Helps gather documentation, perform reconciliations, improve processes, and maintain accounting folders.

• 1 year of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience required.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
• Experience working with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience with Dynamics Business Central is helpful.
• Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced office environment.

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time; lift up to 32 lbs on occasion; communicate on the telephone for extended periods of time.

The employee is generally working in an office environment, very rarely exposed to extreme cold (non‑weather) in a freezer. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderately loud.
