River Terrace Inn is located along the picturesque Napa River, near the vibrant Oxbow Public Marketplace, the Culinary Institute of America, and downtown Napa. We provide boutique accommodations with river views and warm fireplaces. Our restaurant, ALBA Bar & Cafe, serves breakfast daily and small bites in the evening. We also host private banquets and catering events.

Full‑time.

• Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked.
• Prepare and cook all food items by recipe and to specification.
• Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
• Stock inventory and supplies appropriately.
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef instructions.
• Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
• Perform other duties as requested by the F&B Manager.

• Prior experience as a Line Cook required.
• Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform job functions with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain a positive, professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Clear thinker, multi‑task, calm, and uses good judgement to resolve problems.
• Team‑builder who motivates and empowers coworkers.
• Ability to multitask.
• Schedule flexibility.

Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear. Frequently use hands to handle objects. Must lift and/or move 10‑25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Competitive hourly rate of $22.00 per hour.
