Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Naperville, Illinois. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing core accounting activities with accuracy and consistency. The selected candidate will help maintain clean financial records, oversee routine transactions, and ensure timely reconciliation and reporting across key accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and updating bookkeeping documentation in a timely manner.

- Manage accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and keeping vendor records current.

- Oversee accounts receivable activities by issuing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.

- Complete regular bank and account reconciliations to confirm financial data is balanced and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

- Use Quick Books to enter, organize, and monitor financial information while supporting efficient bookkeeping workflows.

- Review accounting entries for completeness and accuracy to help ensure dependable financial reporting.

- Assist with month-end bookkeeping tasks by organizing records and preparing supporting documentation for review. Requirements - 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in a business or accounting environment.

- Hands-on experience using Quick Books for day-to-day financial recordkeeping and transaction management.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proven ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and consistently.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct financial discrepancies.

- Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
