Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineer
Overview
As an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer, you will play a key role in modernizing critical systems at power‑generating facilities by helping transition from analog to advanced digital technologies. This position is perfect for early‑career engineers (1-3 years of experience) with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering who are eager to dive into complex, high‑impact projects and grow their expertise in digital I&C systems.
In this role, you will perform design engineering tasks such as preparing Engineering Change Packages to upgrade obsolete analog systems, conducting engineering calculations, developing design studies, contributing to project scopes and cost estimates, and reviewing OEM technical documentation to ensure hardware and software meet project requirements.
You will collaborate closely with project managers and clients, providing input for budget and schedule planning while participating in project meetings to ensure alignment and success. Your understanding of regulatory requirements, industry codes, and standards specific to digital I&C systems will be essential in delivering safe, compliant, and innovative solutions.
You will also have the opportunity to travel to plant sites, where you will interface with client personnel and perform walk‑downs of plant systems and components, bringing your designs to life and gaining valuable field experience. Through professional communication and quality engineering work, you will build strong, lasting relationships with clients and team members alike.
