X-Ray Tech - Part Time at Duly Health and Care

Overview

Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by a Radiologist. Responsibilities include operating equipment, patient positioning, exposure factor settings, and ensuring radiation protection.

Compensation

The base pay range is $28.84–$38.90 per hour. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.

Hours & Location
  • Part‑time: 20 hours per week.
  • Monday‑Friday, 4:00 pm–8:00 pm.
  • Location:

    Naperville, IL (travel as needed).
  • Holidays and travel may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Position the patient on the examining table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum view of specific areas of the body requested by the physician.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Move x‑ray equipment into specified positions and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors such as time and distance.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
  • Obtain the patient’s pertinent history.
  • Maintain the crash cart.
  • Maintain and stock inventory.
  • Maintain OSHA regulations.
  • Perform other projects and duties as related to department objectives.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, accept constructive criticism, and follow work rules.
  • Report to the lead technologist for work assignments.
  • Assist with film quality control and work evenings and holidays with responsibility for department operation.
  • Assist and relieve manager by expediting patient workflow through the department.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be AART registered or eligible, and IDNS licensed.
  • CPR certification.
  • Minimum 6 months – 2 years of related experience.
