C# Developer with WPF and/or Silverlight

USM Business Systems is seeking a C# developer with experience in WPF and/or Silverlight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C# development, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.

The role involves developing and supporting web and windows .NET applications for internal systems. The developer will work closely with architects, managers, and users to ensure assigned goals are met and delivered on time.

Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, and modify programming systems (coding, testing, debugging & implementation)
• Work closely with system architects, designers, and business users to understand current operating procedures and defined functional requirements
• Responsible for development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support
• Help lead the adoption of new technologies and standards

Requirements:

• C# developer with WPF and/or Silverlight experience
• 7-9 years of experience in C#
• 3-4 years of experience in Silverlight MVVM
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project)
• Experience with WCF web services
• Experience with building multi-threaded applications and Async operations
• Experience with Unit testing
• Experience with Microsoft .Net Framework 4 or later
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented design and N-tier architecture
• Strong problem-solving, trouble-shooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with HTML 5 / WPF
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integrated Services
• Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services
• Experience in the Insurance Industry
• Experience with IIS Administration
