Job OverviewCMR Construction & Roofing is seeking an experienced and reliable Framer to join our dynamic field operations team. This hands‑on role involves building the structural framework for a variety of roofing projects, ranging from residential and commercial builds to government and historical restorations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, a solid understanding of construction materials and blueprints, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in fast‑paced environments.

- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, squares, or levels
- Construct the framework of buildings using wood or steel studs and various fasteners
- Install drywall panels, sheathing, and structural reinforcements
- Operate hand and power tools such as welders, drills, and laser levels
- Maintain construction site cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including roofers, carpenters, and engineers
- Assist in planning and executing framing for specialty roofing projects, including historic or complex builds
- Follow project timelines and report progress to site supervisors or foremen
- Minimum 5 years of framing or related construction experience
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and material science
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and use of CAD software
- Familiarity with AISI and ASTM codes/standards
- Skilled in the use of fasteners (nails, screws, anchors, etc.)
- OSHA safety certification or knowledge of construction safety practices
- Hands‑on experience with steel framing, drywall installation, and structural repairs
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working on your feet for extended hours
- High school diploma or GED required
