General Superintendent – Commercial Construction

gpac is excited to partner with a well-established Commercial Contractor. This company is in need of a General Superintendent who has at least 15 years of ground-up experience. Managing Superintendents experience is a plus. This is an amazing and unique opportunity if you are looking for new challenges and growth within your career.

The General Superintendent position is responsible for providing leadership to our Superintendents in the completion of various commercial construction and renovation projects. The candidate should have a broad knowledge of construction and have a proven track record in the commercial construction industry.

General Superintendent Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee and direct the day to day activities at the project site
• Set schedules and deadlines
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Address job site issues and ensure that projects stay on track and within budget
• Make sure the project is completed on time
• Assist in the development of project estimates, budgets, and subcontracts
• Monitor and audit job costs
• Maintain positive relationships with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Effectively communicate with company personnel and site personnel
• Provide direction and support to project personnel
• Any other duties related to the position

• 15 years of industrial construction experience
• Knowledge of construction and renovation techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve and think critically
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Proven track record of successful projects
• Leadership experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
