Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase.
• Coordinate all aspects and phases of the ground‑up construction project, including collaboration with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase.
• Assist with monthly project financial forecast reporting and owner billings.
• Assist with forecasting and risk mitigation, managing company’s exposure.
• Assist with the review and negotiation of owner contracts, subcontracts, and proposals.
• Forecast project staffing needs for self‑perform work.
• Develop and maintain CPM schedule and lead construction operations to ensure deadlines are met.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, and project QA/QC.
• Evaluate progress and prepare executive project reports for company and owner groups.
• Assist in permitting processes per specific project needs.
• Lead project constructability reviews/plan checks, and associated documentation.
• Contract administration, periodic onsite observations of work, and monitoring of drawing compliance.
• Assist with the project close‑out process.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction science/management or engineering preferred.
• 3‑5 years of commercial construction ground‑up project engineering/managing experience.
• Strong leadership, time management, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• In‑depth understanding of construction methods, materials and management principles.
• Fluency with construction scheduling and project management software.
