Project Engineer - Commercial Construction

Due to continued growth, a general contractor in the Austin, TX area is seeking a Project Engineer – Commercial Construction Ground‑up to join their team.

$68,000.00/yr – $87,000.00/yr

• Provide leadership and manage projects safely, profitably, and timely.
• Ensure quality and integrity of work.
• Participate in marketing, estimating, bidding and contract negotiation phases.
• Conduct project review meetings covering contract requirements, schedules, budgets, subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager to define methods for successful execution.
• Document and prevent delays or changes, and maintain cost control.
• Prepare accurate cost projections and manage change orders, supplements and budget adjustments.
• Ensure timely billing and collection of payments to maintain positive cash flow.
• Prepare purchase order agreements and subcontracts, including insurance certificates, bonds and lien waivers.
• Provide feedback to estimators for future bidding and subcontractor performance evaluation.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite.

• 4‑year degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Field Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
• Familiarity with construction industry computer software.
