Assistant Project Manager, Heavy Civil​/Highway

Schedule: Full-time, on-site

An established heavy civil highway and bridge contractor with projects across Florida is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a project in the Naples area. This is a strong opportunity for a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or senior Project Engineer looking for a bigger seat on a stable project team, helping run cost, schedule, subcontracts, and owner reporting on heavy civil highway work, much of it FDOT-related.

• Plan cost, resources, and schedule for the project
• Administer subcontracts and manage subcontractor performance
• Coordinate workers, materials, and equipment with the field team
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and regulations for the team
• Handle contracts, permits, and licenses
• Supervise assistant managers and engineers and review their reports
• Correct safety issues on the job and support the safety program
• Control the budget and maintain the schedule
• Report progress to owners, engineers, and architects

• 5+ years assisting or supervising increasingly complex construction work
• Four year degree in Construction Management or Construction Science, or an engineering or architecture degree with added business administration or accounting training
• Able to coordinate multiple activities under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Full time onsite in Naples
• Based in Southwest Florida or ready to relocate to the Naples area

• Heavy civil highway experience is a plus
• FDOT project experience is a plus
