We are actively recruiting Cardiac Anesthesiologists to join our growing practice in Naples, Florida at NCH Healthcare System. This full-time position would join a team of 20 anesthesiologists and a total of 42 CRNA's at NCH Baker and North Naples Hospital, as well as our beautiful new HSS facility committed to providing the best in musculoskeletal care to our patients. Cardiac Anesthesiologist Opportunity:

The cardiac case mix features a robust and diverse portfolio, including:

• Structural heart procedures (TAVR, Mitra Clips, TMVR, septal repairs, etc).
• CABGs, both open and minimally invasive valve repairs/replacements, aorta replacements, future robotic mitral program
• VATS, thoracotomies, thoracic AAA
• 5.5 Impella implants, ECMO, growing heart failure program

Cardiac anesthesia is performed with medical direction, low staffing ratios, 1:1 or 1:2, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. You can expect a focus on cardiac cases, complemented by general, vascular, endoscopy, cath lab, and OB cases. There is a great relationship with cardiac surgeons and structural cardiologists. Advanced TEE skills required.

Other Clinical Roles:

• Clinical Resource:
  • Cardiac anesthesiologists will serve as a clinical resource for any clinician in the operating room environment requesting their expertise. This includes assistance with invasive monitoring including central lines, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, and transesophageal echocardiography.
• Consultants:
  • Cardiac anesthesiologists will serve as consultants for preoperative case planning for patients with severe cardiopulmonary disease and may be asked to provide direct clinical care for such patients for patients having both cardiac and non-cardiac surgery.

Other Non-Clinical Roles:

• Quality Improvement and Patient Safety:
  • Cardiac anesthesiologists will participate in the development and integration of quality improvement and patient safety pathways and protocols at Naples Community Hospital. They will also be asked to participate in local morbidity and mortality conferences for Naples Community Hospital and/or Rooney Heart Institute.
• Teaching:
  • Cardiac anesthesiologists will be expected to assist with teaching of trainees (including students and fellows), nurses, or staff in a variety of settings including intraoperative environments and medical simulation.
