US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Fellowship Trained Anesthesiologist to join their growing practice in Naples, Florida. Working at the Rooney Heart Institute within the Naples Community Healthcare System, the provider will be part of an esteemed team providing exceptional cardiovascular and surgical care. This full-time, call-taking position offers a competitive $700,000 base salary, 10 weeks of vacation, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Practice Info

Practice located at the Rooney Heart Institute, part of the Naples Community Healthcare System in Naples, Florida
Team is composed of 20 physicians and 42 CRNAs at NCH Baker and North Naples Hospital
Facility performs standard cardiac surgical, cath lab, and EP lab procedures, minimally invasive valve surgery, complex aortic surgery, percutaneous left and right ventricular assist devices, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and transcatheter valve replacement and repair
Program performs over 600 cases per year with anticipated volume increases as the hospital expands into a brand-new heart and vascular surgical hospital

Responsibilities

Perform Cardiac Anesthesia always
Perform Major Vascular Anesthesia usually
Perform Obstetric Anesthesia usually
Perform Endoscopy and Cath Lab procedures
Medically direct CRNAs or AAs sometimes
Serve as a clinical resource for any clinician in the operating room environment requesting expertise, including assistance with invasive monitoring such as central lines, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, and transesophageal echocardiography
Serve as consultants for preoperative case planning for patients with severe cardiopulmonary disease and provide direct clinical care for such patients having both cardiac and non-cardiac surgery
Participate in the development and integration of quality improvement and patient safety pathways and protocols at Naples Community Hospital and local morbidity and mortality conferences
Assist with teaching of trainees including students and fellows, CRNs, or staff in a variety of settings including intraoperative environments and medical simulation

Compensation

Minimum Income (Annual Estimated W-2 Salary or 1099 Payment): $700,000
$700k Base Salary
$25k sign-on bonus for cardiac anesthesiologists
Amount of Sign-on Bonus: $50,000

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. with the completion of an approved Anesthesiology Residency program
Must have completed an adult cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship
Must be certified by the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) in Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography and be listed as active diplomat status on the NBE website
Must maintain Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography certification through the National Board of Echocardiography
Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) for Anesthesiology practice
Board-eligible anesthesiologists must complete the required steps for ABA certification in Anesthesiology within one year of start date
Required to participate in the ABA's Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA) program
New cardiac fellowship graduates may be listed as testamur status upon date of employment but must complete required process to achieve diplomat status within 2 years of start date
